A walk through of the south course area is planned for October 21 after doubles. The foliage is thinning out so it's time to start getting familiar with the woods again.

A timeline has been established for the south course proposal.
Potential designs should be presented in detail at the December 4, 2012 meeting at the Olympic Tavern at 6:00pm. Forward potential designs to silvertip64@gmail.com if you have one for presentation & can't attend the meeting. The monthly club meeting is on December 2, 2012 at 1:00pm. We can collect information at that time also.
The best design or designs will then be forwarded to the RPD for review & the other organizations sharing Anna Page (equestrian & bicycle) will check for any conflicts with their trails.
RPD representatives will then orchestrate our proposal & then help present it to the RPD Board Commissioners on or after January 22, 2013.
Construction on the course can start immediately afterwards. The RPD has offered equipment & resources including a brush mower that cuts a 12' x 12' path that leaves the wood chips as a walk path. Fairways could go where we want them & would not be limited by dense brush. Two passes with the mower & we could have 24' fairways or larger landing areas. Many of the dead trees & "widowmakers" would be removed for safety.
#18 across the road, aka "the tunnel shot", is on the table for consideration. The club or sponsors may have to provide additional funding for signage to warn traffic entering the park of the potential risk. The RPD is also considering making the loop one way going counterclockwise in the future.
