Greetings, I have just recently become involved in a plan to create a Frisbee Golf Course at the Wildlife Prairie State Park in Hanna City Illinois. As this is a new venture for me, I am reaching out for any tips, advice, or other help on this project. I know that Rockford is not right next door but my hope is that when it is completed it will be worth your while to come check it out. Let me know if you have any suggestions or insights that I may benefit from. I sincerely hope that we can create a relationship between the players in the Rockford area and the Park that will benefit us both. Also, feel free to share any questions you may have. Thanks, Scott Carlson

If you think the hole is long enough or hard enough make it harder and longer. That is where this game is going with disc technology and players getting better. I'm not sure what else there is other then that. Also go to other courses and get ideas from their holes and expand on them.

I would suggest contacting the Peoria Frisbee Club (they have a website) & ask input from local pro players in your immediate area. Most pro players have played hundreds of courses & could give you valuable advice setting up your park. The biggest mistake made with new parks is not asking advice from people who have played for several years. There are local parks in our area who have new equipment but have installed a course that is not even challenging enough for intermediate players. The best courses are the hardest courses as far as I'm concerned.

Thanks to both of you for replying. Bear, I actually contacted every frisbee golf club within 250 miles of the Park and the Peoria club in particular has been very helpful. I figured that using every available resource was the best way to go, plus I certainly like to hear about new courses coming so I made sure everyone knew of the possibility of this one. I agree with you dabus that the course should be very challenging. I will be attempting to expand my courses played as presently I have only played four courses but have played them yearly for some time. Thanks for your suggestions and please be sure to continue with them or any questions you may have. Thanks, Scott
